My Top Eleven-ish Movies of 2007

Is there anything donuts can't do?
  1. 300
  2. The Mist
  3. Alien vs Predator Requiem
  4. Resident Evil: Extinction
  5. Grindhouse (Planet Terror / Death Proof)
  6. 30 Days of Night
  7. 28 Weeks Later
  8. The Bourne Ultimatum
  9. Breach
  10. The Simpsons Movie
  11. The Kingdom
  12. Day Watch / Дневной дозор in native Russian (okay i didn't see this in theaters, but it rocked so hard i couldn't leave it out. get it. see it.)
And the so-so rest of the pack
  1. The Host
  2. Beowulf (3D IMAX)
  3. Bee Movie
  4. Transformers (just kidding, although i saw it twice, once at free premiere and once at IMAX - so i guess it evens out)
Disclaimer: this list is not exhaustive. i do not intend it to be. this should be implied but i got strange comments from my music list. these are from the pool of movies that i saw in a real live theater, that i still remember, that left a mark in my head. you will not approve of this list. or you might agree with some of it. i chose 11 because when i watch movies, i expect the volume, my brain, the cinematography, effects, dialogue, whatever else to be turned to 11. i will add video links etc later/soonish, please be patient. this list should probably be more diverse. this list is in no particular order. should you wish it to be, i'll just say i liked 300, The Mist, Planet Terror and AVP-R the most. and those are in no particular order either. ha. it should also be longer considering how many movies i actually watched. i consumed too much popcorn with butter doing so. apparently lots of movies titled "the something" rock. kinda like the Rab. i'm told this is an American thing. this list should span more genres. i really wish Super Bad and Knocked Up were in this list, because i do love comedies, i just haven't seen them yet. i just report what's tumblin' around in my brain. i sincerely hope you enjoy my list. i also hope you enjoy some good movies in 2008. i would enjoy your comments on your picks and reactions to mine.
